Dean’s Cup Sept 17-22

DEAN’S CUP 2016.

This year Dean’s Cup Tournament will run from the 17th to the 22nd of September 2016.

We will start with soccer on the 17th of September and this will be a Saturday, all the soccer matches will be played on this day and this means that the soccer Champions for the 2016 Dean’s Cup Tournament will be crowned on that very day. The other disciplines (volleyball and basketball) will be played simultaneously in the following days. To what pertains to prizes, for each game a team wins, it accumulates 3points, a draw 1point and zero points for a loss. The winners in each discipline will get some medals and certificates. The points accumulated from each discipline will then be added up to help come with an overall winner. In the event that there are two teams tied up on the number of points (overall), plays offs will then be considered.

SOCCER.

FIXTURES.

2nd MATCH. –2nd years vs 3rd years

We shall have a log system whereby the winner in this category will be the team with the highest number of points. In the event that we have teams with the equal number of points, we will then consider the Goals For (i.e. goals scored), if this does not separate the teams, we will then consider the Goals against (i.e. goals conceded). If this too does not separate the teams, we shall therefore, look at the head to head, this means that we go back to the earlier games and see which team won when they met earlier on. If at all they would have drawn, then discipline will be our last resort.

To what pertains to discipline, we consider the team that has accumulated more cards (either red or yellow) as the loser.
